I heard “Consequence” through a mix cd that Nenad was distributing years ago and his accompanying notes hit upon the perfect way of describing the song: put simply, it’s sublime. The mix of understated electronic pulses and organic-sounding percussion with the weary, lovelorn vocals is immaculate, and it’s another of those songs in which form and content — whatever
they may mean — are in complete harmony.
