Mostly recorded live and, perhaps as a result, much more in the direction of
Lovesongs for Underdogs and
Beautysleep than
Whiskey Tango Ghosts - ie, more of the mid-to-up-tempo pop-rockers and less of the whispery lullabies. As is the recurring theme with Donelly's solo work, there's nothing to touch the peerless vibrancy of songs like
"Feed The Tree" or
"Seal My Fate" but there's nothing to complain about here either.
