It felt long, there was a lot of explain-y dialogue (monologue, really), it really is basically one info-dump followed by action sequence after another, and it lent heavily on the previous films (including the last couple) in ways that weren't always super obvious, and yet for all that it was still a good time at the movies. I don't know whether it hindered or helped that I reminded myself just before going in that (a) this was a movie about Tom Cruise saving the world and (b) he was definitely going to save it.
