She's back! Well some of the way anyway. Musgraves' last couple of lps were mostly a bit featureless but Middle of Nowhere has some fizz. I especially like the languid and surprisingly addictive "Dry Spell", "Loneliest Girl" (big Golden Hour vibes), "Coyote" and "Everybody Wants To Be A Cowboy" (both boasting melodies that manage to be at once obvious and a bit unexpected) and the slinky "Mexico Honey". The Miranda Lambert duet's fun too.
