23, and probably earlier) and airiness, the fraughtness and jagged edges that, in combination with the band's more dazzling pop impulses, have always been crucial to their genius, are still there, just a bit more subterranean - and that
Penny Sparkle is in fact very good, insistent, sensuous, lingering.
