I'd more or less assumed any likely new music from Alison Krauss & Union Station would fall into an elevated easy listening vein, given their seeming direction of travel - much as I've liked so much of their music on the journey. So it was a pleasant surprise that Arcadia brings, if not anything truly new, at least a freshness and an energy - and a very subtle mystical hint in some of Krauss's numbers. A good one.
