Not seeking to be the type of comprehensive overview that I'd hoped for, the ambitions of this exhibition are hinted at in its framing around women in photography in the early twentieth century: "For many women, photography offered a means of income, a way to document daily life, and a powerful tool for communication and activism." That more grounded lens (ha ha) maybe explains why the photos on show here veer towards the documentary more than towards capital 'a' Art. Still much to enjoy however, Olive Cotton standing out as she always does.
