This is Buddy Miller we're talking about, so it's unsurprising that this is a wonderfully relaxed and high quality record; add in the fact that it's a collaboration album - each of the eleven songs with a different person, all but two covers - and the effect is cumulative (not just summative) given how good Miller is at making the most out of such pairings.
Everything here is good, really, but some particular stand-outs are Shawn Colvin's sensitive vocal take on "Wild Horses", Kris Kristofferson's wry version of his own "Sunday Morning Coming Down", the more uptempo fiddle-y duet on "Love's Gonna Live Here" (with Kacey Musgraves) and the excellent grouping of Brandi Carlile and the Lone Bellow (both pretty restrained) on closer "Angel from Montgomery".
